Entry Requirement:

  • Minimum Requirements A Bachelor’s Degree (Hons.) or its equivalent in the related field* *Note Preference will be given to applicants having a Bachelor’s Degree with CGPA 3.0 and above or its equivalent. Applicants having a Bachelor’s Degree with CGPA of 3.7 and above can apply directly for the Doctoral of Philosophy (PhD).

The Master of Economics programme is designed for those aspiring to hold positions requiring economic analyses and a high level of economic proficiency in business, industry and government. The programme aims to provide its graduates with broad knowledge in a wide range of areas in economics including development economics, financial economics, industrial organization, international finance, trade, monetary economics, public finance, Islamic banking and finance, environmental economics, macroeconomic modelling and econometrics. Students are also trained in conducting research to enhance their report writing and problem-solving skills in areas related to economics necessary to be an effective economic analyst
