Entry Requirement:

  • Minimum Requirements A Bachelor’s Degree (Hons.) or its equivalent in the related field* *Note Preference will be given to applicants having a Bachelor’s Degree with CGPA 3.0 and above or its equivalent. Applicants having a Bachelor’s Degree with CGPA of 3.7 and above can apply directly for the Doctoral of Philosophy (PhD).

The Master of Medical Science in Clinical Pathology programmer offered by UM covers comprehensive theoretical and practical knowledge to equip graduates with the necessary proficiency to become clinicians who are involved in diagnostic laboratory work and for the field of Forensic Pathology, the involvement with investigations into causes of death and medico legal work.

Course Structure
  • The programme of study extends over two years and consists of:
  • Studies and rotational practical work in the following disciplines of Clinical Pathology:
  • Anatomical pathology including Autopsy;
  • Haematology including Transfusion Medicine;
  • Chemical Pathology;
  • Medical Microbiology (including Bacteriology, Mycology, Immunology and Virology) with Parasitology; and

tasks as stipulated I the log book including posting reports
